Itinerary
This is a typical itinerary for this product
Stop At: San Andres Larrainzar, San Andres Larrainzar, Southern Mexico
First we go to SAN ANDRES LARRAINZAR, a Tzotzil town located within a picturesque landscape of the mountains. During an hour of travel you will be able to admire the beauty of the exuberant vegetation and rural landscape.
In the town of Larrainzar we are going to visit the Parador Artesanal created by the artisans of the area. We are going to see them working on the backstrap loom, talk and learn a bit about their craft. Afterwards, we will visit a family in their workshop, where they invite us to have a typical breakfast. We will make a brief stop at the town square and its church. Larrainzar played a prominent role during the Zapatista uprising in 1994, since it was in the head of this municipality where the San Andrés Accords were signed, that is, the agreement established between the Mexican Government and the E.Z.L.N. to end the war.
