See important Cozumel monuments right by the sea. The monuments tell the story of Cozumel’s history, how ancient Mayan people used to live on Cozumel and the arrival of the Spaniards in the beginning of the 16th century.
We will visit a sculpture of the ancient Mayan goddess Ix Chel (goddess of the moon and fertility), a pyramid, a church and the monument of the famous Gonzalo Guerrero (Spanish warrior who married an important Mayan princess).
