Pitillal Neighborhood Food & Shopping Tour of Puerto Vallarta

Tour by local Pitillal Guide who will introduce us to the most interesting shops for quality Mexican products such as clay and hand painted dishes, tortilla presses, leather goods, stone molcajetes (grinding stone,) hand crafted wood toys, etc – sold at much better prices then those in the tourist area of PV.

Tour will also visit at least 4 different restaurants or food stands where we learn the cultural relevance of the food. Tour includes 4 different food items (such as tacos) and one dessert item. We will also visit the main church, and the central plaza of historic Pitillal as well as the shopping and eating.

Pitillal is the local Mexican center of commerce in the once separate village of Pitillal now surrounded by Puerto Vallarta but retaining it’s small town Mexican character.

We will meet on the outskirts of Pitillal at a major landmark. We will then walk across the bridge over the Pitillal River into the central area. We will explore that area and then the central plaza and the main church. We will visit at least 4 different eateries (restaurants or stands) tasting at least 4 food products like Tacos. Also 1 dessert item. We will also visit many different retailers and shops getting a good picture of the commerce in Pitillal.
