Founded in 1646 by Bishop Juan de Palafox and Mendoza is one of the few remaining old libraries, it was the first public library in the Americas and has been considered as Memory of the World by UNESCO.

Also known as the Calle de Santa Clara for its proximity to the convent of clarist nuns, recognized for being them who began the tradition in the area with the preparation of delicious rompopes and sweets in the eighteenth century. Today Calle de los Dulces is famous for hosting more than 40 stores with all kinds of traditional sweets, preserves and cookies. A stop that you will surely enjoy.
It was the first craft market founded in the city, in the old Plazuela de San Roque built in 1801. It was the passage of muleteers and merchants of souvenirs. It is currently a place of tradition where crafts from all parts of the interior of the state such as textiles, mud, amate paper, talavera, typical sweets, sarapes, silver, rebozos, etc …
The Barrio del Artist is one of the most important artistic corridors in Puebla. It is a place of painters and artists who expose their work to the public, in a space that today also brings together tourists and locals who find in this baroque square a bohemian space to admire art and enjoy some of its outdoor cafeterias .
