Stop At: Zona Arqueologica de Monte Alban, Oaxaca Mexico
You will walk through the Sacred Mountain (Danibaan in Zapotec), it was the ancient capital of the Zapotecs, one of the first cities of Mesoamerica, with a population of 30,000 people in its maximum splendor, it was founded approximately 500 years BC. C., blooming until 750 d. C.

Stop At: San Martin Tilcajete, San Martin Tilcajete, Southern Mexico
We will visit a family workshop in this town. These colorful and fantasy animal figures, made of wood from the “copal” tree, hide a mysticism. We will see the entire process from when they are carved until they are painted with beautiful Zapotec designs on them. Ask the craftsman what is your spiritual figure or protective animal, you will be surprised!

The markets of Oaxaca are colorful and wonderful, in them you find the identity and life of the city. People from nearby towns come to these places to do the grossery and / or to sell their products. It is a town of Zapotec origin. It is said that it was founded by inhabitants of Monte Alban who emigrated to this area of Oaxaca, but there is not enough evidence for this. You will be amazed by the typical clothing made from a blanket adorned with silk thread embroidery. An interesting fact is the names of the embroidery: “Make me, yes you can”; “the frayed”, “the exchange”, “thoughts”.

In San Bartolo Coyotepec people are proud of the pre-Hispanic work they do, here we will experience how people work with black pottery and we will see how they still use the pre-Hispanic wheel to make classic, modern and master works.
