Itinerary
Day 1: Ayutla-Totontepec
Stop At: San Pedro y San Pablo Ayutla, Oaxaca, Mexico
We will start our tour in Ayutla with a light breakfast and then we will visit the Sacred Cave where we will do a ritual to establish an intention.
Then we will taste the “maatsy” or “machucado”, a ceremonial dish made from corn, which local families share to ask that hunger does not reach their homes.

Stop At: Santa María Tlahuitoltepec, Oaxaca, Mexico
We will visit the central market where you can appreciate local crafts. Then we will visit a textile workshop and learn about the process of making a garment, from dyeing to the final finish, passing through the weaving of the fabric.
Duration: 2 hours
Stop At: 70250 Totontepec Villa de Morelos, Oax., Mexico
Upon arrival in Totontepec we will check-in at the hotel and take a guided tour of the community. We will know its most emblematic places, its history and its interesting form of organization.
At the end, a delicious dinner prepared with the freshest and most natural ingredients awaits us.

Day 2: Totontepec
Stop At: 70250 Totontepec Villa de Morelos, Oax., Mexico
We will start the day with a rich breakfast and later we will hike 7 kilometers to the Peña del Trueno. At the top we will do a ritual and enjoy the amazing landscape of clouds and mountains.
When we return we will try more traditional food and at the end we will take the way back to Oaxaca City.
