What makes PRIVATE TOUR Colonial Town Taxco and Cuernavaca from CDMX. a unique experience ?

Cuernavaca is the lush capital of the state of Morelos in Mexico. In the colonial center of the city is the 16th century Palacio de Cortés, former home of the Spanish conqueror Hernán de Cortés and currently a history museum with murals by Mexican artist Diego Rivera. To the southwest is the Cathedral of Cuernavaca, in a 16th century walled monastery with a mural depicting Mexico’s first saint

Cuernavaca Cathedral is the seat of the Catholic diocese of the same name in Mexico. It is a 16th century building, which makes it one of the oldest cathedrals in the country. It was originally erected as the convent of the Assumption, the fifth Franciscan foundation in Mexico

It is a New Spain civil palace from the 16th century, a historical monument located in Cuernavaca, Morelos (Mexico), ordered to be built by Hernán Cortés in the immediate years after the Conquest of Mexico. It was his residence, after living in Mexico City, where he settled the encomienda given upon receiving the Marquis of the Valley of Oaxaca. It bears an enormous similarity to the Alcázar de Colón in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, which predates this one (1506). It is currently the headquarters of the Cuauhnáhuac Regional Museum, inaugurated on February 1, 1974.

Taxco is a city in the state of Guerrero, southwest of Mexico City. It is famous for the production of silver jewelry and Spanish colonial architecture. Plaza Borda is its main square and houses the iconic Church of Santa Prisca, from the 18th century and pink in color with an elaborate Churrigueresque style

The Temple of Santa Prisca is a colonial monument that is located in the city of Taxco de Alarcón, in the north of the state of Guerrero, Mexico. It is a building built in the 1750s (more precisely, between the years 1751 and 1758), dedicated to Catholic worship in that town whose main activity was – and continues to be – silver mining.

The construction was ordered by José de la Borda, one of the most prosperous mining entrepreneurs in the Taxco region in the 18th century. Although he had arrived in Taxco only about thirty-five years before the construction of the Santa Prisca temple, José de la Borda was already one of the most important figures of the mineral, which is why the Archdiocese of Mexico allowed him to erect the parish at your entire taste

The Borda Square or Zócalo de Taxco, is the main square of Taxco de Alarcón, located in the Historic Center, it was founded on January 1, 1978 and is surrounded by farms and the Parish of Santa Prisca, between small streets and winding alleys , roofs, terraces and facades of lime that hang from the slopes and ravines. In the surroundings there are silver shops, restaurants and boutiques, it is in this Plaza where the International Guitar Competition and Festival is organized

The Borda Garden is a historical museum located in the city of Cuernavaca and is located in what was the summer mansion of the wealthy miner from Taxco, José de la Borda. During the Second Mexican Empire, the Emperor of Mexico, Maximiliano de Habsburgo together with his wife Carlota Amalia chose this place as their summer residence and because of this, the road from Mexico City to Cuernavaca was improved.
