Sisal Magical Town Adventure from Merida

Sisal is a magical little town that has a unique charm located on the northwestern coast of Yucatan, which stands out for its white sand and boat rides that show the incredible nature of this region (being a main habitat for flamenco seasonally). In the past it stood out for its commercial influence and currently as a fishing port that maintains the tranquility of this place which is ideal for a getaway from the conventional.

We will have a motorcycle taxi ride to the kayaks or barges and later a tour entering the mangroves to enjoy extraordinary views of nature and where we can find different species of migratory birds and much more, before finishing we will visit the Ojo de Agua Carbonera to enjoy its coastal spring waters.

In addition, you will have free time to be in the town to explore its most emblematic corners and enjoy the food they offer (our guides can recommend the best places to eat).

Life a unforgettable day whit this wonderful place while you discover how interesting its history is, as it was previously a place for unloading merchandise and now it is a quiet fishing port. Also, discover the wildlife that is home to this nature paradise.

First you will saty in the manglares zone and then you will go to the Town to explore the streets and more interested points.

Merida to Sisal

Travel time from Mérida to the Sisal mangrove reserve (First stop).

Sisal mangroves
10:00 – 12:30 p.m.
We will enter the mangrove area aboard a motorcycle taxi (traditional transport of the region) where you can observe wildlife and some birds.

Later, you enter the swamp on a barge (boat) or by kayak, to observe endemic birds of the region and also pink flamingos.

Finally, we visit the “Ojo de agua Carbonera” so you can enjoy the water from the coastal spring.

During the tour we provide you with natural water and delicious seasonal fruit.

Stay for 3 hours on Sisal beach, you have free time to eat, swim, take photos and explore the surroundings. There are several restaurant options where you can eat, the guide can give you recommendations.
