What makes Tour to Guachimontones and Hacienda del Carmen a unique experience ?
We will drive approximately 1:20 hours to reach our first stop at the Ex hacienda EL Carmen. This place has been the location of important TV programs and an example is the Netflix series “Monarch”. Here we will enjoy a delicious breakfast, then they will give us a tour to enjoy its viceregal architecture that will transport us to ancient Mexico that we never knew and we will get to know its facilities.
Sometimes they close to the public for events but in this case we will visit a similar farm.
We will drive 15 minutes to reach Teuchitlan Jalisco, which was the capital of one of the oldest Mesoamerican empires. Here we will visit the Guachimontones archaeological zone that contributes a unique style to the world repertoire of archeology and that was named by UNESCO CULTURAL HERITAGE OF HUMANITY, we will also visit the interpretive museum to learn in a graphic way and where we will explain customs and traditions, at the end we will visit an obsidian workshop. We will spend an average of 2 hours at this stop.
It is located in the archaeological zone and is the third place in the world with the most obsidian, which was essential for the development of the civilization that inhabited those valleys.
Last stop in the main square to take photos and buy a drink if you wish and then return to Guadalajara (return time 1:20 hours)
