After an hour’s drive, the first stop will be the archeological site of Guachimontones and its museum. We’ll explore the site for 1 hour as I explain the most interesting facts about the Teuchitlan indigenous civilization that inhabited the Tequila Valley 2,000 years ago. We’ll also visit the site museum to unravel the mysteries of this ancient civilization.

After a 30 minute drive we’ll visit a family-owned distillery to learn how high-quality, additive-free tequila is made. In the distillery we’ll have a private tour of the facilities and a guided tequila tasting experience. You’ll be able to buy artisanal tequila bottles at factory price!

Our tequila adventure continues with a short 20-minute drive to the charming 16th-century village of Tequila! We’ll savor a delicious lunch at the local market. Afterwards, we’ll embark on a leisurely stroll through the village’s main plazas and streets, where you can soak up the rich history and architecture. To truly quench your thirst, we’ll treat you to refreshing cantaritos – traditional tequila cocktails made with like salt, ice, lime, orange, and grapefruit. It’s the perfect way to experience the authentic flavors of Tequila!

We’ll stop at breathtaking viewpoints for you to take stunning photos amidst the agave fields. This unique ecosystem, recently designated by UNESCO, is a testament to the deep connection between agave and Mexican heritage. Let the iconic landscapes be the backdrop to your unforgettable Tequila experience!
