Stop At: Palacio de Bellas Artes, Avenida Juarez y Eje Central s/n Centro Histórico, Mexico City 06050 Mexico
Our first stop will be the Palace of Fine Arts, it is the highest cultural venue in the country and has been the scene of the most outstanding artists nationally and internationally. Porfirio Díaz ordered the construction of the Palace of Fine Arts to commemorate the Centenary of the Beginning of the Independence of Mexico. Its construction began in 1904 by the Italian architect Adamo Boari. The building is in Art Nouveau style on the outside and Art Deco on the inside.
It is the headquarters of the National Dance Company, the National Symphony Orchestra, the National Opera Company, the Folkloric Ballet of Mexico and the Chamber Orchestra of Fine Arts. The main room has a capacity for more than 1,700 people. The anti-fire curtain stands out with the image of the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes, it weighs 24 tons and was commissioned from the Tiffany House. On the ceiling is a crystal lamp that represents the god Apollo surrounded by the muses of the arts.

A huge avenue framed by roundabouts that are symbols of the city: the Caballito, the Diana Cazadora, the Angel of Independence. With large office buildings, hotels, and restaurants, this is always a busy place, always full of life.
On the south side of Reforma stands the Zona Rosa, one of the most elegant neighborhoods in the city during the Porfiriato. The Zona Rosa has always been a bohemian neighborhood, so great Mexican artists have lived here, among its streets, bookstores, cafes, restaurants, antique shops and implausible stores. In recent years, the Korean community has settled in the neighborhood, adding an even more eclectic touch, if possible, to an already curious neighborhood.
For decades, the Zona Rosa has been the center of the LGBT community. In this friendly neighborhood you will find clubs, cabarets, clubs and discos, as well as all kinds of specialized shops.

For both Mexicans and tourists, the Monument to the Revolution in Mexico is a point of reference, meeting and history. From its viewpoint 52 meters high, you can get a 360-degree panoramic view of Mexico City, making it an architectural gem in the heart of the city.
But in the beginning, that project was even more ambitious and planned to compete with the US Capitol.
The entrance of the viewpoint has an additional cost, but it is something that is really worth living and observing.

The place with a terrible and sad history here was born the saying “October 2 does not forget” where thousands of students were killed, the strongest massacre in the entire history of the country by the same Mexican government.
For several decades, the 1968 student movement has become one of the most important events in public memories in Mexico. Remembered for what happened on October 2 in Tlatelolco and symbolized as one of the main moments in the fight for political democracy, ’68 has been anchored both in public memories and in places of memory. Among the latter, probably one of the most relevant is the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, in Tlatelolco, Mexico City. This article analyzes its conformation and meanings as a place of memory, as well as the place it has occupied in national and international trauma tourism circuits.
