Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Transfer
Pass By: Mexico City, Mexico City, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast
Welcome at the Mexico City’s “Benito Juarez” international airport, transfer to the hotel of your choice and accommodation.

Day 2: Mexico city tour
Stop At: Zocalo, Calle Plaza de La Constitucion S/N Centro Histórico de la Cdad. de México, Centro, Mexico City 06000 Mexico
We will start our city tour visiting the cultural and historic
Heritage downtown district where we will find the National Palace and its beautiful murals, painted by the great muralist Diego Rivera, the constitution square or “Zocalo”, the Main Aztec Temple and the Metropolitan Cathedral as well as some of the main avenues. Later, we will visit Chapultepec Park and one of the most important Residential areas of Mexico City, and the “Pink Zone”. Return to the hotel and rest of the day free.

Day 3: Mexico city – Puebla – Oaxaca
Stop At: Puebla, Puebla, Central Mexico and Gulf Coast
Departure to the city of Puebla de los Ángeles (Puebla of the
Angels), before our arrival we shall visit Santa Maria Tonantzintla, a church beautifully decorated by the hands of the natives of the place. Lunch. After our arrival at the city of Puebla, we shall visit the Rosary Chapel, the Cathedral, The Main Plaza and the historical center. Afterwards we shall depart towards the city of Oaxaca. Arrival and Overnight.

Day 4: Oaxaca – Monte Alban – Mitla – Tule
Stop At: Oaxaca, Oaxaca, Southern Mexico
In the morning, we shall visit Monte Albán, an archaeological zone
built over a mountain, and we will find expressions of the Olmeca, Zapoteca and Mixtec cultures. Afterwards we shall visit Mitla, the “City of the dead”, an important place which shows its beautiful decoration based on symbolic gravures. We will admire the “Tule Tree”, perhaps the living being of the biggest size in the world. Return to Oaxaca, a beautiful colonial city, including its Cathedral, the magnificent church of Santo Domingo and the “Gold Museum”. Overnight.

Day 5: Oaxaca – Sumidero – San Cristóbal
Stop At: Chiapas, Chiapas, Southern Mexico
Departure at approximately 04:00 hours towards Tuxtla
Gutierrez, capital city of the state of Chiapas. You will enjoy a beautiful landscape, its orography and magnificent flora. Arrival and transfer to the embarcadero of the Grijalva river, to enjoy travelling in a boat through the Sumidero Canyon, which is a geological marvel which height reaches 1000 Mt. in its highest point. Afterwards, transfer to San Cristobal de las Casas, going through Chiapa de Corzo. Overnight.

Day 6: San Cristobal de las casas – Indigenous Communities
Stop At: San Cristobal de las Casas, San Cristobal de las Casas, Southern Mexico
Departure and transportation to an area known as “Los altos de
Chiapas” to visit the indigenous communities in San Juan Chamula and Zinacantan, indigenous towns which keep their traditional way of life, their religious faith and their social organizations. Their churches, buildings and clothing are most original and colourful. Afterwards, return to San Cristobal de las Casas. Free afternoon. We suggest a walking through the streets of this beautiful city and visit the market, Santo Domingo, the Cathedral and the museum of Jade which keep a copy of King Pakal’s tomb. Lodging. Overnight.

Day 7: San Cristóbal de las Casas – Agua Azul – Palenque
Stop At: Cascadas de Agua Azul, Reserva Especial de la Biosfera Cascadas Agua Azul, Palenque 29920 Mexico
Tour to the Agua Azul Waterfalls (Blue Water Waterfalls), its
water seeming turquoise tones, its short waterfalls create wells which in turn are natural swimming pools where it is possible to be refreshed, surrounded by abundant vegetation and typical fauna of the place. If the weather is good enough, we will visit the Misol Ha Waterfall. Afterwards, we will be heading towards Palenque. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 8: Palenque – Campeche
Stop At: Palenque, Palenque, Southern Mexico
Visit the archaeological area of Palenque, located at the jungle.
One of the most important of the Mayan World. Both, due to the historical discoveries as for its beauty. Within the Pyramid of Inscriptions there was found the original King Pakal’s tomb with an engraved inscription in it. Visit to Cruz Foliada Temple, Sun’s temple and the Palace. We will continue our tour to enjoy a panoramic view of the Gulf of Mexico to reach the beautiful city of Campeche surrounded by walls. Panoramic tour. Dinner and Overnight.

Day 9: Campeche – Uxmal – Merida
Stop At: Uxmal, Uxmal, Yucatan Peninsula
Departure towards Uxmal, deemed as one of the most
representative and antique cities in the Puuc area. Visit to this archaeological area of great architectural beauty: The Pyramid of the Fortune-Teller, the Nuns Quadrangle, the Palace of the Governor and the Ball’s Game. Lunch and following the trip to Merida “The White City” wherein we will enjoy a panoramic tour: Paseo de Montejo, the Monument to the country, the Main Plaza, the Cathedral and the Government Palace. Overnight

Day 10: Merida – Chichen Itza – Cancun – Riviera Maya
Stop At: Chichen Itza, Chichen Itza, Yucatan Peninsula
Departure towards Chichén itzá, the best known Mayan City in
Mexico. It was declared World Heritage by UNESCO and is one of the “Seven New Marvels of the World”. An archaeological site where an advanced archaeological and astronomic knowledge was revealed. We will visit the Pyramid with long stairs called “The Castle” or “Kukulkan’s Temple, the Ball’s Play, the Skeletons Platform, the Temple of the Jaguars, the Observatory, the
One Thousand Columns Square and the Sacred Pond. Arrival at the majestic “Ik-il pond” where we may be able to swim. Lunch on this place. Afterwards we shall continue our trip towards Cancun or the coastal region named “The Mayan Riviera”. Arrival to the hotel.
