Day 1: Tulum – Laguna Bacalar – Chetumal

then you will explore the stunning beauty of lake Bacalar, which is called “seven-colored lake” because it combined in various color tones, from turquoise to blue.

Day 2: Calakmul – Palenque

Stop At: Calakmul, Campeche, Mexico
Morning, after Breakfast, visit of Calakmul — one of the largest Maya settlements of the classic period. Calakmul is located 35 km from the border of Guatemala. The ruins surrounded by a network of canals and reservoirs.

Stop At: Zona Arqueologica de Palenque, Carretera a Palenque- Zona Archaeologica Km. 8, Palenque 29960 Mexico
Departure to the city of Palenque (Chiapas). In the evening arrival in Palenque. Free time for relaxing or exploring the city.

Day 3: Palenque – Campeche

Stop At: Zona Arqueologica de Palenque, Carretera a Palenque- Zona Archaeologica Km. 8, Palenque 29960 Mexico
Visit of the Palenque archaeological site. Palenque ruins are considered to be the most important archaeological sites of the Maya in Mexico. The ancient city is located among the overgrown jungle on a high hills. In the early morning ruins shrouded in thick fog, beside flows a small stream, you can often hear the roar of a jaguar or monkey – howler. Its most important temple is called Templo de las Inscripciones (Temple of the Inscriptions), where explorers discovered Pakal’s tomb with his famous jade mask.

Stop At: Centro Historico de San Francisco de Campeche, Campeche Mexico
Then the tour will go to Campeche, which is the capital of the Campeche State. Lunch in restaurant on route. Upon arrival to Campeche, short visit to the ancient town, surrounded by fort walls and towers built to protect this city from the pirates. Campeche has a Colonial mood thanks to its gorgeous houses and austere churches.

Day 4: Uxmal – Merida

Stop At: Zona Arqueologica Uxmal, Carretera Federal No. 261, Uxmal 97899 Mexico
Departure to Mérida with visit of the Uxmal archaeological site on route. Uxmal means “built in three stages” and it is a typical example of the classic and post-classic Mayan period; its main constructions are: Pirámide del Adivino (The Fortuneteller’s Pyramid), Palacio de los Gobernadores (Governor’s Palace) and the Cuadrángulo de las Monjas (Quadrangle of the Nuns).

The tour continues to Mérida, also known as the “White City”, which has Colonial houses as well as houses that date back to the beginning of the century in Arabic, French and Italian styles. Those houses have witnessed all the old wealth that was generated thanks to the sisal culture. Stop at Mérida’s Zócalo, where visitors can admire the city’s main monuments: the Cathedral, the Government’s Palace, the Municipal Palace and the Francisco Montejo’s House.

Day 5: Chichen Itza – Cenote Ikkil – Cancun/ Riviera maya/Tulum

Stop At: Chichen Itza Mexico
Departure to visit Chichen Itza archaelogical site. Chichen Itza was the Mayan capital of Yucatan and flourished between the 5th and 10th centuries AD. This ancient city is one of the Seven New Wonders of the World and the World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO.
