Our first destination is the Ixlache Reef, marking the beginning of the renowned Mesoamerican Reef system that stretches along the Caribbean. After around 45 minutes of observing vibrant fish and turtles, you’ll head to Isla Contoy, famous for its white powdery beaches and pristine, crystal-clear waters. On the island, you can explore the fascinating Marine Museum .W
Wander along nature trails, and visit the observatory for breathtaking views. This unspoiled paradise offers a unique blend of natural beauty and educational experiences, making it a must-visit destination.
Next, it’s “LUNCH TIME.” Delight in an incredible Caribbean BBQ showcasing fresh fish prepared in the traditional “Mayan Style” or Tik n Xic, where fresh fillets are marinated in secret Mayan spices and charcoal-broiled over native hardwood. The feast also includes charbroiled chicken, rice, vegetables, salad, potatoes, fruit, water, soft drinks, and beer!
After relaxing on the beach, we’ll hop back on the fast boats and head to Isla Mujeres. You’ll have about an hour to shop and explore.
