Pick up from your Hotel to Las Coloradas (3-4 hrs transportation route). Admire the extraordinary pink lakes of Las Coloradas and the pink reflection against the blue sky. Near Rio Lagartos, in the state of Yucatan, we find one of the largest salt factories in Mexico. The factory extracts salt from nearby lakes. The place was baptized as Las Coloradas due to the pink color of its waters. Depending on the weather, light and time of day, the lakes have different shades of pink and orange. The landscape seems unreal. The phenomenon of pink lakes can only be seen in a few places in the world.
