Itinerary

Day 1: From Cabo to Magdalena Bay and Whale Watching Tour 1

Stop At: Cabo Trek, Boulevard Marina s/n Lote 9, local A-20, Tesoro Hotel, Cabo San Lucas 23450 Mexico
Your 2-day adventure tour begins in Cabo San Lucas. From there, you’ll head five hours north to Lopez Mateos, a small town home to a community of fishermen. Every year, between December and March, the town turns into a sanctuary where gray whales find protection in this bay surrounded by sand dunes and mangroves.

The area is also home to many different species of migrating birds. During your experience, you’ll learn why gray whales mainly use this location as a breeding ground to give birth and nurture their calves. This is the only tour in Baja designed as a multiple day excursion to provide enough time to really enjoy nature, the local area and people, and great sea food.

You’ll spend the night in a cozy family-run bed and breakfast, and enjoy two incredible tours in the bay to meet the gray whales. Included in the tour is transportation, two whale-watching tours, food, and accommodation.
Duration: 10 minutes

After an about 5 hours long drive and after we’ve checked-in in our bed&breakfast, we will have a delicious lunch with local fish and shrimp tacos.

In the afternoon we will be out for the first of 2 whale watching tours. We will explore the lagune in the search of the Gray Whales and try to find those who are the most friendly and curious about us.

On our way back we will stop at the sand dunes and enjoy the sunset.

In the evening a exquisite lobster and fish dinner will be served just before we hit the bed and get ready for another exciting day.
