Itinerary
Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, fishing in paradise is a one in a lifetime experience, the fishing boats departs from the Marina in Cabo San Lucas, at the dock there will be the “dock master” to greet you and walk you down to your boat and introduce you to the captain and mate. Most of the crew members speak some english and will be happy to teach beginners in the techniques of big game fishing.
Once underway, the crew member will bring out rods and reels and set them in rod holders, the captain will decide which direction to head depending on where fish are likely to be biting, and what your preferences are (big marlin or more like tuna or mahi-mahi), captain will put some lines in the water to start trolling with some artificial lures.
The crew is on constant lookout for fish, spotting birds, bubbles or fins, this are indicators of activity in the area. Depending on the season and hunger of the fish, you can spend minutes or hours trolling before a catch. When a fish strikes, you will hear a loud zinging noise on the reel, and is time to sit in the fighting chair. A crew member will be with you all the time teaching you patiently how to pull the catch.
