The boat tour begins with a visit the Pirates Channel, a perfect place for your first swim in the turquoise clear water.
The “Black Cenote” or “Cenote de la Bruja” is our first of three cenote visits. It is an open-air cenote and also the deepest point of the lagoon, hence it’s colour.
Our second stop will be “Bird Island”, where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the lagoon and go for one last swim. Depending on the season, you might be able to see multiple specied of birds here too.
Our next visit is to “Cenote Emeralda”, where you will be in a great position to appreciate the different shades of blue in the lagoon and understand why the Bacalar lagoon is known as the lagoon of 7 colours.
Then we move on to “Cenote Cocalitos”, home of stromatolites, which are rock-like-structures that produce oxygen and are the oldest form of life on the planet.
We will sail through the bird islands to we find the perfect spot to enjoy a delicious fresh fruit picnic.
