This Skagway shore excursion will show you a glimpse of Canada's legendary north country. On this half-day tour by mini-bus, you'll travel up to the White Pass to cross the border into Canada and travel the Klondike Highway in British Columbia. You'll see incredible scenery and maybe even spot native wildlife roaming the spectacular scenery, including moose, bears, birds, mountain goats and Dall sheep. The turnaround point is the Yukon border and Welcome to the Yukon sign for a great photo. As a bonus, we include a stop at the Yukon Suspension Bridge! View the Tutshi river canyon while crossing the bridge and see educational displays. Also available are clean, flush restrooms (the only ones available on the tour route), snack bar to purchase food, and Yukon gift shop. Enjoy your port time in Skagway with a full-day shore excursion by mini-bus into the Yukon, Canada's westernmost territory. The drive from Whitehorse to Haines Junction and Kluane National Park takes you through the heart of the Yukon wilderness. This incredible drive is full of breathtaking landscapes and scenery, and hopefully lots of wildlife! We spend the afternoon exploring this area along the famous Alaska Highway known for its impressive views. When we arrive in Haines Junction, our first stop is the Parks Canada interpretive centre where we can learn a little bit more about Kluane National Park, and the worlds largest non polar ice field within it. After a quick stop at the bakery, we will continue driving along the edge of Kluane, soaking in the mountain views, to Sheep Mountain. Here we will have a short, easy walk to an incredible viewpoint. On the way back, time and weather permitting, we will also make a stop at Kathleen Lake, within the National Park where we can go for a short stroll along the lake shore.

Experience a quintessential northern activity while taking in the beautiful aurora borealis! Night Fishing is very unique and sure to be a highlight of your trip. Fishing is usually for burbot, the only freshwater cod found on earth! These nighttime feeders are often aggressive and a great choice for beginning anglers. Hot drinks and local snacks provided, and fishing takes place inside a heated, insulated shelter purpose built for icefishing! Your guide has 10 years of experience and has been an avid fisherman for over 30 years!
