Once you get into your Safari Jeep from your hotel at Tissamaharama/Yala or Park Main Entrance your driver/tracker will escorted you to the Yala National Park through the main entrance. You will first meet the Sameera Tours driver and proceed to Yala National Park. We met your safari guide at the gate entrance to the park. For the morning half-day tour, your Yala Safari commences at 6:00 a.m. while the afternoon run begins at 2.30 p.m. After entering the National Park with your guide in a jeep, keep an eye out for leopards and sloth bears, besides other mammals and several species of birds which have made their homes in this sanctuary. The guide will explain about the Park’s various interesting attributes as you discover, become more aware and enjoy the flora and fauna of Yala. You will be taken through most of the Yala National Park, covering the wetlands, grasslands, forest patches, etc. We will make longer stops at certain watering holes for those quiet photography opportunities. Visit Yala which is Sri Lanka's most famous national park. The park is located in the dry-zone region where the drought season is very long. The day time average temperature is over 30 degrees which are not uncommon in the region. The parkland makes up most of the reserve but also includes lakes, beaches, jungles, rivers, and scrubland. This variety in habitats provides an excellent range of wildlife. Forming a total area of 1268 sq km of scrub, light forest, grassy plains, and brackish lagoons, it's very rich in wildlife and you're virtually certain to encounter elephants, crocodiles, buffaloes, and monkeys.

This afternoon Game drive to Yala National Park is a 3 hours game viewing opportunity with MICE Team. Yala is home to 44 varieties of mammal and 215 bird species. Among its more famous residents are the world’s biggest concentration of leopards. The leopards are more elusive and primarily nocturnal in other countries but are easier to spot in Sri Lanka than any other place in the world. 14:00 – You will be picked up from your hotel in Yala or Tissamaharama and driven to the National Park. 15:00 – You will start your game drive at Yala National Park. Udawalawe National Park, the sixth largest animal sanctuary of Sri Lanka, is located 112 miles (180 km) from Colombo in south-central sector of the island. The park is situated just south of the Central Highlands, of which escarpment brings about an enrapturing backdrop. Udawalawe National Park established in the year 1972 with the objective of protecting the catchment area of Udawalawe reservoir, which provides water for agriculture and hydro-power generation spreads over an area 30,821 resembling an African game park.
