The low light pollution inside Teide National Park (declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site) is what makes it the perfect place for stargazing in Tenerife, as here you're almost guaranteed great night sky conditions, which will allow you to observe varios stars and constellations. Tenerife has a special law in place in order to protect these pristine star-watching conditions inside Teide National Park, by controlling the flight routes and limiting the light pollution inside the park. At an altitude of 2000 meters, we will discover the constellations designed by our ancestors and their brightest stars.

Spend time visiting the famous Volcano Teide.   With pick up from your hotel or close by, taken up to the volcano with opportunity to use the cable car if wanted. (Do advise us in the special requirements section if you would like this option and we will contact you)if you would like to get a little closer to the peak.  Cable car is not included in this trip. The magnificent views above the clouds or on a clear day you can see the other of the 6 Canarian Islands surrounding Tenerife. You will have a stop off in the famous Roque de Garcia to view the volcano and the canyon where the land sunk. Many movies have been filmed here for the luna landscapes. Clash of the Titans, Planet of the Apes. and many more. This trip does NOT involve trekking nor time to trek to the peak of the volcano. It is relaxing and enjoyable time spent visiting the famous volcano. You will also have time to stop and have something to eat. Bring some lunch or try some canarian food in one of the bars.

Mount Teide is the highest mountain in Spain and the second highest volcano in Europe. It towers majestically over the island of Tenerife with its 3,718 meters of otherworldly lava formations. This rocky giant stands on a 5000-metre-deep ocean floor, stretches up to the heavens and lives to the beat of its magmatic heart. There’s no better way to experience the four elements at once than Mount Teide, a true wonder of nature.

This excursion will take you sky high to enjoy a unique experience, as you encounter the highest peak in Spain, El Teide. We will begin to ascend until we reach 2,370 m. above sea level. During the tour, we will pass through different landscapes with wonderful views and traditional villages. We will cross the forest of Canarian pine until we reach Las Cañadas del Teide, where you will begin to understand that Tenerife is an island of contrasts. Along the route, we will make some stops so you can admire everything that this natural space offers. It was declared a National Park in 1954 with the aim of protecting this landscape of incredible beauty and great ecological value. Optionally you can take the Teide Cable Car, located at 3550m, where you will be a few meters below the highest peak in Spain. We will cross one of the largest 'Calderas' in the world. Visit the Roques de García, one of the most emblematic images of Tenerife.

To enjoy the details of the moon, planets, galaxies, nebulae and star clusters we use a 12" Dobsonian and Celestron Nexstar telescopes (what objects are visible depends on the time of the year)
