The reefs we visit are no deeper than 25' which is great for snorkelers, and the same reefs come up to as shallow as 5-10' from the surface in some parts which makes it perfect for our snorkelers – both kids and adults. We visit some of the most popular sites including Christ of the Abyss, Horseshoe Reef, Grecian Rocks, Banana Reef and more daily (weather conditions and mooring space permitting at the dive sites). Although this trip is conducted in Deception Pass State Park we avoid the turbulent water near the bridge which is more suitable for expert kayakers. The St. Johns River offers diverse scenery and an abundance of wildlife and the spring run is a designated manatee refuge. During extremely cold weather, over 300 manatees have been counted in the short run. The river on either side of the run is designated as a "No Wake Zone," making this area of the St. Johns GREAT for kayaking and canoeing.
