Smallest Aran

Departing Galway at 9 AM sharp, we will guide you south along the Wild Atlantic Way and Burren region, heading to the picturesque fishing village of Doolin where you’ll board the express ferry to Inisheer, the smallest Aran Island. Inisheer is only a short sailing distance from Doolin and attractions include an ancient castle, a sunken church, one of Ireland’s most beautiful beaches, a shipwreck and several pubs, restaurants and cafes. Hire a pony and trap or a bike just off the pier (for additional cost) or enjoy a peaceful stroll through the boreens. After this visit, you will cruise alongside the foot of the Cliffs of Moher. This is a unique view of the Cliffs not often seen. We then have a traditional Irish pub meal. After, we spend 1 hour at the top of the Cliffs. Take a stroll along the cliff edge and consider how tiny everything looks from above. Once we depart the Cliffs we will take the coast road home, following the Wild Atlantic Way, arriving in Galway at approx. 19:30

On Inisheer, explore ancient castles, churches, narrow lanes, stone walls and deserted white sand beaches.  The return ferry takes you on a guided scenic cruise beneath the spectacular Cliffs of Moher. Returning to Doolin, you go to the top of the Cliffs of Moher where you can take a stroll along the Cliffs. Departing the Cliffs you return to Galway.

Inis Oirr (Inisheer) is the smallest of the islands is characterized by its distinctive charm. A bike is the perfect way to explore this microcosm of traditional Irish life. .From the pier you are greeted with a pristine carpeted white sandy beach facing clear crystal turquoise water and plenty of fishing boats, their nets, and fisherman returning at the end of the day with their catch.The island is 3km by 3km wide with small hills and intricate little valley’s and is easily covered by foot or by bike. The walk to the lighthouse or the shipwreck of the Plassy is a wonderful experience where you feel the island with its diverse landscape unfold before your eyes.
