The Hill of Crosses was visited by Pope John Paul II back in 1993 and since then this place has become very popular – not only between locals but also tourists from all over the world!

The Hill of Crosses is a unique site that consists of more than 250 000 crosses from all over the world! Either you're religious or not – you're welcome to visit it and also leave a cross behind. This tour is unique with the fact that you'll have to leave Riga only about 3 hours before the sunset. In summer months it means evening! This gives you a great chance to enjoy the most of the daylight hours in Riga and head off to Lithuania once most things are done and closed! Fit in as much as possible in your trip itinerary. And of course – tick off another country!

At the Hill, we will take you on a guided tour so you get to know some stories and legends that will help you appreciate this place better. After the guided tour, you will have free time to explore the place by yourselves without the guide.
After the Hill of Crosses we'll be driving to town Siluva where you'll have a free time to visit the chapel which was built on top of the stone (it is still there in the centre of the chapel) where Blessed Virgin Mary appeared back in 1608!
After free time in Siluva, we'll be heading back to Riga.
