Carrara Marble Quarry Tour + Local Food Products Tasting


We will spend the first part of the tour in the Carrara mountains, taking a few stops in front of different marble quarries, where you’ll learn everything about the history and methods of the excavation processes and understand how the experts transform a rock into a beautiful artwork or piece of furniture, later we will visit the nearby Colonnata, home of the quarry men for over 2000 years, where you'll have the chance to taste the unique lardo, a special type of cold cut aged in a marble basin.

A guided tour in a traditional lemon garden, where you can discover the famous oval lemon of Sorrento and Massa Lubrense, cultivated only in the Sorrento peninsula with the IGP mark. During the visit will be illustrated the techniques of cultivation and production of the most famous lemon in the world. We will show you the process of growing lemon, its history and its use in ancient and modern cuisine. Located only about a kilometer away from Hoi An Ancient Town's bustling center, the Hoi An Silk Village breathes new life into the 300 year-old history of the Maritime Silk Road. The Village is surrounded by verdant mulberry gardens, lotus ponds and horticulture farms. Paths wind through the gardens and ancient houses, built in typical Quang Nam architecture, providing a serene atmosphere that carries you to the days of old.  The Village employs a dozen artisans that manufacture and weave silk into various garments and tapestries using ancient looms. Beyond discovering the ancient silk manufacturing process, visitors are also welcome to enjoy our restaurant and tailor showroom.

Your instructor will show you how to make your lantern from the first to the last step and how to make your own Hoi An lantern. We provide beautiful silk so that you can choose your own color pattern, and design. Take this interesting course in lantern making from a helpful professional. Dumfries Maples is a 25 year old maple syrup farm located 50km west of Fredericton in Central New Brunswick along the Wolastoq (St. John River), operating on a family property dating back to the late 1880’s. A visit includes a guided tour of our farm, describing how we produce maple syrup, explaining the process from tree to bottle. The tour also tells the unique history of maple syrup from its beginning to present day, as well as the local history of the area. The tour will be followed by warm homemade biscuits served with our maple butter and a beverage inside our owner-built cedar log cabin. This will be followed by the treat of maple taffy on snow. Extend your visit by exploring the property on our trails where you can experience nature and view wildlife. From Sapa Handmade Product: Hmong Batik Workshop Private Tour


Learn about the history of indigo batik among the Hmong tribe in Sapa. Discover how the Hmong people started using batik and how it has become a part of their traditional dress. Create your own batik piece to take home with you. Before the workshop starts, listen to the guide explain the process and how the Hmong people started with batik. Hear how the people who went into the forest to collect honey came across forests of indigo and got caught in wax and indigo, which turned their clothes black. When their clothes were washed, the wax came away and the original white color was left on those pieces of cloth, while the rest turned blue. The Hmong people thanked the bees for this discovery and to this day patterns of bees are drawn onto the traditional dress.

Cacao Road Excursion : plantations, processes, tasting and more


You journey will start in the north of the island, with few short stops at iconic plantations and at famous Blue Lagoon, for sight seeing or for a swim. You will start by visiting a cocoa plantation and discover the many process to transform the fresh beans into dry beans, ready to be transformed into chocolate. Then you may select a place for lunch in the area of Neves, just ask your guide for the best options. Back in the capital, you will have a stop at the Chocolate Boutique of Diogo vaz, where you will enjoy a warm chocolate drink OR a pastry (1 item per person). Once achieved, we will gently give you a ride to your hotel.
