Is it possible to hike up to the highest peak of Hungary from Budapest in one day? Surprisingly yes! We start from Budapest, take a long bus ride till Mátraháza. From Mátraháza we take a longer uphill walk through beautiful beech forests to reach Kékes, the highest peak.
