They can walk with penguins for 1 hour with a specialized guide who will inform you about the lives of these animals. First part of the tour: Walk with Penguins We will leave in a Bus traveling National Route N3 and Route J. Then we will sail 15 minutes to Hammer Island, where we will walk 1 hour alongside the Magellanic penguins and Papuans. Return to the city by bus. Second part of the tour: Navigation Beagle Channel We will sail through the Beagle Channel, where we can observe the Fueguin fauna on Bird Island and the Isle of Wolves, as well as the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. Beagle Channel Sailing Tour: Birds, Seals & Penguins Islands


We begin the navigation with a panoramic view of the Ushuaia coast, spotting the most important buildings, the Maritime Museum, Museum of the End of the World, the industrial area, and the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains. We sail to the southwest, approaching the island of Los Lobos, where we can enjoy the view of specimens of sea lions, observing their permanent habitat. Continuing the navigation, we will head towards the island of Los Pájaros, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged sector to see specimens of marine birds. We continue sailing towards Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, in the archipelago of the same name. On these islets it is possible to see parts of Monte Cervantes, a ship that sank in 1930. Arriving at Isla Martillo, we observe how the colony of Magellanic Penguins that nest during the summer season approach the boat with notable curiosity, enter the sea swimming below the catamaran and re-emerge.

Full-Day Gable Island Eco-Adventure in the Beagle Channel


The most encompassing full day tour in Ushuaia. It departs from Ushuaia eastward on National Route No. 3 and then on route "J". Once on the coast of the Beagle Channel, preparations will begin to paddle in inflatable canoes towards Gable Island. Rubber boots, over-pants, and life jackets will be used. We will paddle through the channel as the native people did for thousands of years until we reach our refuge on Gable Island. There, we will enjoy a hot lunch with a good Patagonian wine, soft drink, and mineral water. After a coffee, the hike begins to explore this uninhabited island, where we will experience the true feeling of knowing the End of the World. After the hike, a motorboat will be taken towards Martillo Island. From the boat, penguins can be sighted at their breeding site for 20 minutes, and then we will continue sailing towards the mainland, where the vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Ushuaia.


Navigation to the Penguins island – USHUAIA – Beagle Channel


We begin the navigation leaving from the Tourist Pier of our city, towards the center of the Beagle Channel, enjoying, as we move away, the panoramic view of the coast of Ushuaia. We sail towards the southwest, approaching the sea lions island observing their permanent habitat, in a wonderful setting. Continuing the navigation, we will go to the Birds island, habitat of Magellanic Cormorants and Imperial Cormorants, and a privileged sector to spot species of marine birds. We continue sailing towards the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse. Following the south coast of the Isla Grande de Tierra del Fuego, when we get to Martillo Island, we will approach the beach and will observe how the colony of Magellanic Penguins that nest during the summer season approach the boat with remarkable curiosity, enter the sea by swimming under the catamaran and re-emerge. A party that invites us to take countless photographs. From here we return by sailing to the Tourist Pier


Ushuaia: Beagle Walk among Penguins Navigation Isla de Lobos


We will start our day at the tourist dock in Ushuaia. From there, we will travel along Route No. 3 and Route J in a comfortable bus, where you will have the opportunity to marvel at the beauty of our Tierra del Fuego forest, en route to the fascinating Martillo Island. Once we arrive at the boarding area, we will board a semi-rigid boat to enjoy a navigation of approximately 20 minutes that will take us to the island.
