In this 2.5 hour food tour, embark on a memorable food adventure with a small group guided by an English-speaking tour guide and, most importantly, a local foodie. Guests will weave through the crowded streets of Shimbashi (or Ginza in some cases), and visit restaurants serving local delicacies that are not for the weak-stomached, such as blowfish (fugu), horse meat, and more, along with traditional foods such as sushi and yakitori.
Healthy! Japanese Fermented Food Lunch Cooking Class (Vegans OK)
By taking this class, you will not only learn about cooking but also gain a deeper understanding of Japanese fermented foods especially koji and miso, which are basis of Japanese cuisine and longevity, making your travel even more special!
This class is a short course of 2 hours, so even busy tourists can attend. Some people may think that Japanese cuisine is difficult to prepare, but fermented foods are actually easy to use and enhance the umami of dishes. I encourage you to join this class, learn about Japan’s healthy food culture, and incorporate it into your lifestyle even after returning home!
The venue is very convenient, just a few minutes walk from the heart of Tokyo, Akasaka Mitsuke Station. You won't be annoyed by the weather condition!

In this cooking class, you can experience Japanese people's normal life in the local area of Japan and also feel the traditional atmosphere by visiting a local shrine in a solemn forest. I can be flexible with the menu, but recommend you to choose either Sushi and Tempura Course or Bento Lunch Box Course. Matcha Green Tea experience is included in any course. Vegan menu is also available. This is exclusively private activity.

・We give you not only the knowledge but also the courage to try something you've never experienced before.
・We give you the essential tips from Japanese habits and customs on how to enjoy "Sento" before you try it.
・You will know all you need to try "Sento", from its history to the manner and how to take a bath the Japanese way.
・Provide you with some information about famous Japanese hot springs as well as its efficacy for your next trip plan.
We meet at the cafe & bar and I will give you a lecture about Japanese "Sento" (public bathhouse) for about 15 minutes.
We go to "Sento" together and you will be able to enjoy it for about 1 hour. (If you try Sauna : + JPY 300)
After enjoying "Sento" come back to the cafe & bar where you can try some of the soul food of Osaka and drinks.

The Tsukiji Outside Market is a vibrant area where a variety of Japanese foodstuffs are gathered. It was adjacent to the former Tsukiji Market, which until a few years ago was Tokyo's central wholesale market.
Even now that the former Tsukiji Market has closed, it remains a popular shopping and dining destination for tourists.
You will tour the market with an English-speaking guide while buying snacks at recommended stores.
You will also visit Tsukiji Honganji Temple and Tsukiji Namiyoke Shrine, which are essential for getting to know Tsukiji.
Later in the tour, you can purchase your favorite lunch and enjoy it with our purchased snacks (lunch fee is not included ).

Whether you are a child or a foreign tourist, anyone can enjoy authentic soba noodle making experience at Shinshu Soba Restaurant Yamahei in Karuizawa Prince Outlets (5-minute walk from Karuizawa Shinkansen Station). An Experienced instructor will carefully guide you through the process of kneading, stretching, and cutting soba noodles. The finished soba noodles will be served with tempura and the famous walnut sauce on the spot.
Japanese Traditional Cooking Class
Hands-on cooking classes will be held at our Japanese cuisine restaurant "Tokitarazu" in Hiroo, which is an upscale residential area in Tokyo. Our instructor, who has mastery of Kaiseki cuisine, will guide you step by step how to make the dishes and decorate the plates. Specifically, you will learn, e.g., how to make Dashi (soup stock), how to cook rice, and how to use cooking utensils and prepare ingredients, so even beginner chefs can have a great time! You will also enjoy sake tasting. The class will be held in English and/or Japanese.
