Besides showing the landmarks like Kaminarimon Gate and Tokyo Skytree, Ryo will accompany you to many lovely temples and shrines around the area. Asakusa is a distinctive place to have both a Buddhist temple and a Shinto shrine next to each other. You will also be able to know more about the religious views among Japanese people. Finally, Ryo will take you to Nakamise Shopping Street, where he will explain the origin of Senso-ji Temple while showing various illustrations. Also, he will tell you how the temple has been loved and supported by a variety of people, from locals to the generals of different periods. The host, Ryo has 6 years of experience working in Asakusa as a rickshaw driver and is passionate about introducing Japanese culture and history through the exploration of Asakusa. Japanese Home Cooking Class in Sapporo with a Professional Shiori


During your Sapporo cooking class, cook alongside a professional culinary instructor, Shiori. She will expertly walk you through every step of creating a great Japanese dish. The cooking portion of your experience will last about 1 hour, during which you will learn to make 1 main dish and 1 side dish. Shiori will peel and cut vegetables in advance and you will help her prepare the dishes together. Your meal may include dishes such as a handmade sushi roll, somen noodles, grilled chicken and vegetables or nimono of fish cakes and vegetables. Shiori enjoys teaching the art of creating delightful food using fresh, inexpensive produce that is easy to replicate back home. She is also happy to recommend the best ingredients and snacks at local supermarkets to take home with you!

Japanese Speaking Experience Meet the Pub locals in Shibuya City.


At language exchange events, you can meet 4 to 5 different people each time you change seats, including local Japanese people and foreigners living in Japan. This class will not only teach how to make mochi, but also you will learn the cultural importance of it. You will also learn some useful tricks on how to handle this very sticky dough. With guidance from a certified instructor, you will learn the basic techniques in making the sweets so that you can recreate them yourself. When you are finished you will be able to taste your creations with a bowl of matcha that you will learn how to make yourself. The instructor will teach you the etiquette in drinking matcha as well as the tradition and spirit of Chado (tea ceremony) This cooking class is held at a private studio in Tokyo where you can get an insight into life in Tokyo from a local as well as advice on tourist attractions and shopping.

Hands-on cooking classes will be held at our Japanese cuisine restaurant "Tokitarazu" in Hiroo, which is an upscale residential area in Tokyo. Our instructor, who has mastery of Kaiseki cuisine, will guide you step by step how to make the dishes and decorate the plates. Specifically, you will learn, e.g., how to make Dashi (soup stock), how to cook rice, and how to use cooking utensils and prepare ingredients, so even beginner chefs can have a great time!  You will also enjoy sake tasting. The class will be held in English and/or Japanese.

We will stop by Chiba art museum which is A century-old Neo-Renaissance structure, and Visitors can view works of art by artists associated with Chiba City. After that, we'll have lunch at Kadoya, a Japanese homemade style restaurant and enjoy, Tonkatsu or Chiken.

The class is held at the over 130 years old house. It was built in Machiya style and was used to be a house of Shoya, the biggest merchant in the city at that time. You can have a look around the unique inside. We will show you traditional life style such as Koto, a Japanese harp and an old sawing machine, which have been carefully stored for a long time in Kura, an old style storage in back of the house. The kitchen is made of Sake barrel lids came from a local brewery. It’s located on the second floor, you will see the beautiful Japanese garden. We provide aprons, so you don’t need to bring anything. We will give you a recipe that you can cook at your country. The class consists of some basics of Japanese cooking, such as how to make Dashi broth, and introduction of local made ingredients, which are not normally seen at regular supermarkets. We will explain for you to cook at home when you go back. Recipes are adjustable for vegetarians and vegans.

I can be flexible with the menu, but recommend you to choose either Sushi and Tempura Course or Bento Lunch Box Course. Matcha Green Tea experience is included in any course.
