Embera tour is an unique experience that combines the visit to one of the main indigenous group in Panama and having contact with the amazing nature in the Central-American rainforest. After picking you up at your hotel, we will go to Alajuela Lake where we will board a ¨piragua¨, a traditional indigenous boat, heading to the Canyon in the Chagres River. Later we will go to Tusipono Embera, a small traditional village located in the bank of the Chagres River in the middle of the rainforest. The Emberas will show their traditions, their way of dressing and how they elaborate their handcrafts. They will perform their traditional dances and music and we will have time for interacting directly with them. We will enjoy lunch prepared by the Embera community.

We’ve been sailing this area for more than 15 years and will take you to beautiful Caribbean Beaches only accessible by sea. There is no road that can get you there and the nature is still virgin. Pick-up is at 7am at your accommodation in Panama City, and we'll drive almost 2 hours to Portobelo, which is a historic port built by the Spanish in 1597. If you don’t need pickup, we will meet you at the dock at 9am, and will get to the Catamaran by speedboat. First we will sail to Venas Azules (50mins), a mangrove lagoon characterised by turquoise water that we will explore by dinghi (1.5 hour). After the lagoon excursion, we will be back to the catamaran and sail to Playa Drake (30mins), where you can snorkel and observe pristine colourful corals and fish, do paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming or just relaxing on the boat or beach (2.5 hours). Casco Antiguo de San Felipe is where the new City of Panama was founded in 1673 (the 350 year anniversary was in 2023), built only 5 miles West from where the first city was left in ruins after the fires started by the Spanish colonials themselves in an effort to save the strategic position crucial for World Trade since the Pacific Ocean was discovered in 1513, and to avoid the collapse of the Spanish Empire right there and then, to the most famous pirate of the 2/2 of the Spanish Colony, their nemesis who commanded the "Rogue" attack in 1671: Captain Henry Morgan. Both are World Heritage Sites as per UNESCO.
