First Dive

As a result of years of development and improvement of diving in Cape Verde, we most likely carry out the best Try Dive program on Sal Island, fully suited to you. You will dive in total security with our Dive Instructor in reefs and visit the lush marine life that exist in Sal Island.

The Discover Scuba Diving experience is a non-certification program which allows guests to dive without being certified. The entire experience is held within the private beach of the Caribe Hilton Hotel in San Juan. Instructors will guide participants through a short class on the basics of scuba, a pool lesson and a fun dive. Everything is conducted within the hotel facilities and there is no need to travel to any other location. The hotel beach gives access to a shallow dive cove full of fish and much more.

This introduction to scuba is for those who would like to try scuba diving. It's an easy dive accompanied by a personal instructor during which you meet marine inhabitants and observe volcanic landscapes.

Try a DIVE, discover scuba diving is a 1,5 hours mini course with diving theory, equipment knowledge, some exercises and an open water dive (40-45min) at Lia reef. Its completely fun and safe. Moreover we will offer free of charge underwater photos and DAN scuba diving insurance.

You will dive on natural and artificial reefs, walls, caves, archaeological sites among others. All our diving trips are carried out from one of our boats. If you haven´t dive for more than 1 year an a half, please book a refresh course.

We are a family diving school and quality, personal attention and service are very important to us. We mainly dive in small groups at various locations in the Puerto del Carmen region and beyond. For example, we organize weekly day trips to Playa Blanca where you can dive on the beautiful sculpture garden of the now famous Museo Atlanto.

Experience the wonders of the Mara'a lagoon during a scuba dive. You will be supervised by a patient and pedagogue professional and you will dive in 6m max according to the regulations, for at least 25 minutes. After a briefing on the equipment and the course of the dive, you will taste the joys of weightlessness in a preserved environment rich in fish and coral. On our late morning dive trip, we visit two shallow reefs (average depth of 30′ to 40′ / 9m-12m). We will see hundreds, even thousands of colorful reef fish. More than 25% are endemic to Hawaii, meaning they are only found here. There is a lot of great coral too, with 40% of our corals endemic to Hawaii. Of course, we can never guarantee specific wildlife sightings. But there is a great chance you will see other marine life such as eels, sea turtles, rays, octopuses, and dolphins. We see turtles on over 85% of our dives!

This is the right activity for ocean lovers! Dive in and discover what is beneath the surface and experience the non-gravity feeling while breathing underwater! You will be constantly supported by our Instructor who will take you through this new adventure!

If you have always dreamt of learning to dive, discover new sensations or just want to explore the diversity of the ocean, the Discover Scuba Diving course is your starting point towards underwater adventure. This diving initiation is made for you ! Please be reassured, the learning curve is progressive. After a short briefing, one of our instructors will take you to Coral Garden. You will perform a few excercises in shallow enough water to stand to aquire the confidence you need, then off you go to explore the site. It is truly a enormous aquarium! After returning to the dive center for a short rest and refuel, we will take you to the famous USAT Liberty shipwreck. Maximum depth 12 meters (40 feet).

Never scuba dived before but always wanted to? Then our Discover Scuba Experience is perfect for you! Our half day programme allows you to experience a whole new world you have never entered before. Expect to see lots of fish, crabs, octopus, cuttlefish and if you are lucky maybe some large Atlantic sting rays and turtles.
