Visit the Cattle Market and the shopping town. The Maasai community  live in small mud-thatched villages, surrounded by their cattle and smaller livestock. For hundreds of years the Masai have roamed these lands of Kenya and Tanzania, living a free, nomadic lifestyle. Their traditional lands now comprise much of Kenya’s national parks. A highlight of your safari vacation is a visit with these Maasai people. Many of the tribes welcome visitors to their villages to view up close their culture and lifestyle. Part of the tour funds is directed to supporting the community where we visit.

Via Cocina combines social transformation and healthy eating with delicious cooking classes, and many say the project’s inspiring story is worth the trip alone. I've traveled to 70+ countries as an international development volunteer since 2003, and this is my life project coming to fruition! When you book an experience with us, the proceeds directly support Via Cocina activities, subsidizing cooking classes and training for low income community members who cannot afford to pay market value. We even show you what past activities have helped us accomplish, and how your participation and contribution will have impact on the project's future development. This is an eye-opening experience where you will be able to learn about local life and how progressive these people are. Walk up the steep steps through the community while you are listening to our guide about the development of the "barrio". See and get the best pictures of the art murals painted by the locals who had a very dark past, but now they have changed their lives through the art. At the end, we get to the top of the barrio to get a general view of Lima. We run this tour along with "Color Energía '', an organization created by local artists and neighbours of Leticia,, which is a "barrio" located on the hillsides. We support each other in this activity to promote this project as a tourist attraction. A percentage from the money you pay is going directly to the cleaness and the neighbor who comes with us on the tour.

The mangrove forest of Lac Bay is one of the best-preserved mangrove forests in the Caribbean. For generations, this lush, green environment has served as a home and incubator to native fish, baby rays, lobster and seahorses. The bushy and beautiful trees and their deep, webbed roots protect Bonaire from extreme weather conditions.
