Castle World

This tour is tip-based (the small reservation payment is for admin purposes). The largest castle in the world awaits us! Founded over a thousand years ago, Prague Castle has been the seat of prosperous kings and mad emperors. It is now occupied by the Czech president. We will start our tour taking the famous tram 22 to the very top of the Castle District (Hradčany). We will cover the Strahov Monastery and its amazing view then make our way down to the Prague castle explore every courtyard & monument within it, St. Vitus Cathedral & all the most beautiful views the city has to offer. You will need a tram ticket for this tour (30kc). Your valid 24h or 72h passes are valid as well. To get your ticket use the metro station near the meeting point (Staroměstská) or we can do it together on a mobile app at the meeting point.

We will visit buildings, memorials, statues, and places that have a link back to World War 2 and I will share my love of the subject, bringing the history to life by telling you the personal stories about the people involved using many photographs from the archives. The tour is fun, engaging, well-researched, and insightful, but never dry. I look forward to journeying back in time with you! Afternoon Hamlet Excursion – UNESCO World Heritage Site Join us in a half-day’s tour where we travel up the coast road from bustling Copenhagen to Fredensborg Slot. we will travel through the beautiful North Sealand countryside to Fredensborg Slot, which translated means Peace Palace, in English. The palace was built for King Frederik IV, between 1720 and 1726. Aften we Travel to the historic city of Helsingør. There you can visit Kronborg, Hamlet’s Castle, built by King Frederik II in 1585. In Helsingør you can visit the Maritime Museum, enjoy Smørrebrød, the famous Danish open sandwich, in Culture Wharf or walk around the historic centre of Helsingør. A guaranteed breathtaking and unforgettable experience! Our guides will meet you on time at the entrance to the northern castle tower on Drottning Christinas väg 1A in Uppsala. We walk up to the dome via the beautiful staircase. In the tower room you can admire the meter thick castle walls and the impressive 18th century heavy beam trusses.  Here you will find the personal equipment that ensure you are secured throughout the trip on the roof, and get a safety brief from your guide. After testing the test track indoors, it is time to go out on the roof above Uppsala Castle. During the walk you will see Uppsala all around, all the way to Old Uppsala Mounds where the vikings are buried.

Prague Castle has a rich history and you will get to know it during this tour. We start the tour at the Strahov Monastery and from there we visit all the special buildings in the castle, such as St. Vitus Cathedral, St. George's Basilica, the famous golden lane and of course the Lobkowicz Palace. Of course we also reflect on the events during the 30 years war in Prague. At 12:00 PM we will of course also see the big changing of the guards. In the summer we also visit one of the well-known special palace gardens. And because we are in the highest parts of the city of Prague, a special viewpoint cannot be missed.
