Our adventure begins at the private farm La Naciente, just minutes from La Fortuna downtown. Here, we’ll set off on muddy trails through the primary rainforest. We start with a safety briefing and a practice circuit to get comfortable with the ATVs. Then, we head out onto the crazy trails of La Naciente, driving through challenging paths surrounded by lush vegetation and local wildlife. Along the way, we stop at Quebrada Platanillo, a micro-basin of the Arenal River that supplies water, and this is also where we can spot the impressive Watusi bulls, famous for their distinctive horns. Next, we visit the picturesque village of La Guaria which keeps the “fortuneños” culture, where we explore its church and its old local store (pulpería). We continue along open trails, crossing natural puddles, until we reach the Arenal River, where we take a break to capture photos and enjoy the scenery. On the way back, we stop at Rancho La Poza for a snack and some relaxation in its outdoor pool.

You'll enjoy 3 amazing snorkeling stops, encountering green turtles, eagle rays, sharks, whip rays and underwater sculptures called "Tikis". We have the only glass bottom boat of the Island, making it friendly for all type of guests and all ages. It is a shared tour, but has a maximum of 12 people, making it really comfortable and intimate. Lunch is on the unique private island of Moorea (it belongs to our family), not on a shared beach with other companies. Enjoy our local rum, pinneaple juice, beer and water. Everything is home made, and prepared with local ingredients : Tahitian raw fish salad with coconut milk, chicken and fish kebabs and fruits from the island. Time and time again the Best of Wildlife tour impresses those who choose to take part. A half day, afternoon tour, we travel at the best time of the day to see some of Australia’s unique animals in the wild. The tour begins with pickup at your accommodation before a half hour to 40-minute journey through the rural surrounds of Canberra to the Deep Space Tracking Station at Tidbinbilla. Here you’ll learn about the significant role played by our telescopes in the Apollo missions and first moon landing as well as current day deep space tracking. From the Deep Space Tracking Station, we’ll travel the short distance to the Tidbinbilla Nature Reserve where some of Australia’s most iconic native animals living in the wild. Through the reserve we’ll hopefully witness and get close to: Kangaroos Wallabies Koalas Platypus Colourful parrots and other birds Emus After hopefully spotting platypus towards the end of the tour, you’ll enjoy the 30-40 minute tour back into your accommodation.

Thousands of mule deer, elk, moose, big horn sheep and bison migrate into the valley in search of food each year along with coyotes, fox, bald and golden eagles, swans, and even packs of wolves. This gathering of wintering wildlife makes winter one of the best times to view wildlife in Jackson Hole! After a full morning in the field we will enjoy lunch together at a local eatery before heading back out for the afternoon. When available, we will take a horse drawn sleigh through the National Elk Refuge into the middle of the largest wild elk herd in North America. Following the sleigh ride, we will head back into the field to spot more wildlife. **Sleigh rides are optional.
